Figure Drawing from Life is the most essential skill acquired by well trained atelier students.
These courses are a series of live model sessions over 10 hours. Poses are a mix of nude and clothed with professional figure models. These are instructed and include a variety of short poses progressing to longer poses.
For many years I have studied the nude figure. I began as a teenager and have practiced in many studios in the US and Europe.
I am offering a variety of essential skill building exercises and we will be working with female models. Junior and Senior students are welcome to join and gain an advantage as they approach college admissions. All ages 16 and up are welcome.
These are energetic, fun and academic, with a solid foundation in anatomy, gesture and expression.
Please commit these weekends and evenings to practice one of the most challenging, but rewarding, genres of art, Life Drawing.

After registration please contact your instructor to let him know what classes you are reserving. Ask him about materials. Some drawing materials are provided. Tips for the model are appreciated.
Welcome drawing materials are anything you are comfortable with. That includes compressed charcoal, soft or hard vine charcoal, graphite, pastel, and whatever drawing paper sketch books you prefer. We will be making a lot of drawings so affordable newsprint is fine. Free large sheets of 11 by 19 bright white office paper is available for drawing dozens of fast drawing for exercises.
