Warren Chang Weekend Portrait and Figure Painting Workshop

Welcome to a weekend of practicing portrait and figure painting from life. The workshop will be for two days, the first day concentrating on painting a head/portrait, the second painting the human figure. Techniques will involve, creating a monochromatic underpainting and utilizing a limited palette in the tradition of the Old Masters. The approach will be alla prima, painting both the head and figure in one sitting.
We will be working from life with a live model along with Warren. Warren is a very dedicated teacher and natural story teller. Warren has a masterful instinct for imparting a narrative message for his viewer, both in composition and in the mood of his subjects.
