Welcome to a weekend of practicing portrait and figure painting from life. The workshop will be for two days, the first day concentrating on painting a head/portrait, the second painting the human figure. Techniques will involve, creating a monochromatic underpainting and utilizing a limited palette in the tradition of the Old Masters. The approach will be alla prima, painting both the head and figure in one sitting.
We will be working with a live model along with Warren. Warren is a very dedicated teacher and natural story teller. Warren has a masterful instinct for imparting a narrative message for his viewer, both in composition and in the mood of his subjects.
